David Moyes Confident Manchester United Will Sign Two Wold Class Players This Summer

David Moyes hints he will make more than one addition to the squad

Manchester United boss David Moyes has seen two bids for Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas turned down, while Wilfried Zaha and unknown defender Guillermo Varela remain the only new arrivals. But that is likely to change if the new chief gets his way.

Moyes said: "I'm confident we will have players in. "We're involved in several players we are looking at and that will continue. "Will we get them before the deadline? I hope so. We're working very hard to do so."

And the former Everton manager is sure Wayne Rooney - who played for England against Scotland last night - will be at Old Trafford to see them. He added: "[There are] no more developments, we don't want any more, because we've told everybody he's not for sale. "I watched the game last night, I thought for the 65 minutes he played he did well, ran around and got himself some fitness, but it was his first real outing in a competitive game."

The newly United boss has also described Manchester United's opening fixture list as 'hard to believe', describing it as the hardest he's ever seen.
