Wayne Rooney Finally Makes His Decision On Future, Will Not Disrespect Manchester United
Wayne Rooney has told friends that he
will not disrespect Manchester United by handing in an official second
transfer request according to Sky Sports. The 27-year-old handed in a transfer
request back in 2010 before he was convinced by Sir Alex Ferguson to
stay at the club and was believed to have handed in a second request
before the end of last season. But Rooney will not go as far as handing
in an official request to United to leave the club for a second time
according to these latest reports.
So far this summer, Rooney has remained
silent in regards to what he wants to do with his ‘angry and confused’
outburst the only public communication he has had with the fans or club
but following his most energetic performance in a United shirt for a
long time against Chelsea on Monday, it seems he may have finally made
his mind up that he will stay.
Whether that is because he has had a
change of heart or realises how determined United are to not sell him to
Chelsea is another matter altogether. The fans cheered his name, he played the
full 90 minutes and showed momentary glimpses of the Rooney we love.
From Moyes’ point of view, it was exactly what he would of wanted to see
and hear. From Rooney’s point of view, it showed him that the fans
would be willing to forgive him (again) if he committed to the club
(again).
With only five days left in the transfer
window, letting Rooney leave now would make it almost impossible to
replace a player of his quality so United are right to want to hold onto
him and now, it seems, Rooney is in the right frame of mind to agree. Up until the sometimes bitter end, every United player will be supported by his fans and Rooney will be no different.
