Road Named After Sir Alex Ferguson
Sir Alex Ferguson has spoken of his pride at being honoured by Trafford Council.

The
former Manchester United boss has been given the freedom of the Borough
and Water's Reach, situated close to Old Trafford, will be renamed 'Sir
Alex Ferguson Way'.
The road is opposite Sir Matt Busby Way
towards Salford Quays with the formalities taking place during a meeting
of councillors on 14 October.
"I am delighted to accept this
honour from Trafford Council," stated Sir Alex. "When I arrived at Old
Trafford in 1986, I had little idea of the journey that awaited me. "Over
quarter of a century later, to receive the Freedom of the Borough of
Trafford and to have a part of Trafford carrying my name is truly
humbling."
