Airtel in new partnership with Man Utd
Airtel Tanzania has announced a partnership deal with English Premier League champions Manchester United
that will see the telecom firm's customers win all expenses paid trips
to watch the club's matches live at Old Trafford stadium. The
announcement was made during the launch of the firm's promotion dubbed
'Mimi Ni Bingwa' (I'm the champion) that seeks to reward its customers
with over 500m/- worth prizes.
Speaking
during a press conference to announce the partnership in Dar es Salaam,
the Airtel Tanzania Managing Director Sunil Colaso said the partnership
underlines the company's commitment to partner with major global brand
and bring them close to its customers. "Airtel
Tanzania today announces this big partnership that is set to give our
loyal and passionate customers new experience to watch Manchester United
matches live at Old Trafford. We are happy to partner with Manchester
United one of the big clubs in football history.
"Our
customers should prepare themselves to take advantage of this unique
opportunity that is set to give them a new football viewer experience,"
he added. He said Airtel Tanzania has
played a pivotal role in the country's sports development and this can
be proved by our 'Rising Stars' that has become a household name not
only in Tanzania but Africa as a whole.
"I
believe our partnership with Manchester United will now greatly
complement our on-going football and sports programmes and initiatives
since the English Premier League (EPL) are one of the top professional
leagues in the world." he added. The
Manchester United Relationship Manager Michael Higham during the event
said his club's partnerships with Airtel Tanzania will set to increase
the club's presence in Tanzania. "We
are happy to launch this new partnership and we believe this will be a
brilliant platform to connect with the club's audience here in
Tanzania," he said.
