Manchester United winger Nani believes Adnan Januzaj and Wilfried Zaha both possess the attributes needed to become stars at Old Trafford.

The two youngsters have both made their Reds debuts this season and look set to continue the club's long history of blooding youngsters in the first team. Januzaj in particular has caught the eye and was recently voted Player of the Month for October by fans on ManUtd.com and @ManUtd on Twitter. Nani, who has won seven major team honours since joining United in 2007, scoring 40 goals in 222 appearances along the way, is full of praise for his midfield colleagues and admits he has not been surprised by their recent endeavours at Old Trafford in 2013/14.

“They are both great players and have showed great character,” Nani explained during an exclusive interview with ManUtd.com. “They both have good personalities as well. “They have been given a chance to play in the first team and have impressed because they have lots of quality. It is normal for a young player to show good things when they have the right personality and mentality.”

Nani is currently away on international duty with Portugal, who will face Sweden on Friday in the pick of the World Cup play-offs. The United winger is determined to seal progress, particularly after captaining his country during the recent 3-0 win over Luxembourg.

“I am focused on the match,” the 26-year-old explained. “We know it is a very important game for us, we want to be in the World Cup. We will see what happens, we will do our best in both games and try to win. “It was a proud moment to captain my country, but that was not the most important thing. The most important thing was the confidence I got from the manager. “All of my team-mates respect me and that is why I was given the captain's armband. But the most important thing was winning the game. I played well for the national team, so I hope to continue that and help get us to the World Cup.”
