Manchester United 4-2 Bayer Leverkusen: In Pics
Photographers had plenty to aim their lenses at on Tuesday as
United recorded an entertaining 4-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the
UEFA Champions League.
Perhaps most notably, striker
Wayne Rooney scored twice to take his personal tally for the club to
200. He joins Jack Rowley, Denis Law and Sir Bobby Charlton in the short
list of Reds who have reached the milestone.
Of course, new
manager David Moyes also took charge of his first group stage game in
the competition, having previously contested an unsuccessful qualifying
tie with previous club Everton.
Transfer deadline day signing
Marouane Fellaini even took his European bow for the club, producing a
steady performance in the heart of midfield before exiting with cramp on
81 minutes. As ever, to help retell the story of the game, we’ve
compiled the best photographs taken by official club snappers John and
Matt Peters, which you can view in the gallery below.
